In the rapidly evolving landscape of solar energy, Jinko Solar has once again raised the bar with the introduction of its newest high performance PV modules, the Tiger Neo 3.0 series. This new generation of solar panels is not merely an incremental upgrade but a significant leap forward, leveraging cutting-edge N-type TOPCon technology to deliver a combination of higher efficiency, enhanced reliability, and superior performance under real-world conditions. The Tiger Neo 3.0 is ready to become the new benchmark for solar projects, from utility-scale PV projects to C&I and residential rooftops.
The foundational strength of the Tiger Neo 3.0 lies in its N-type (TOPCon) cell technology. With a unique advanced structure of the cell and by implementing the latest technologies like ME, MAX, HCP & FP, The Tiger Neo 3.0 has changed the game rules in the PV industry, boosting an impressive cell efficiency of up to 27%, a module efficiency of up to 24.8% with a maximum power output of 670Wp
Talking about the key features of this new product, Jinko Solar has optimized the bifacial performance of the Tiger Neo 3.0, offering an industry-leading bifacial factor of 85% ยฑ5%, exceeding all the other cell technologies, either old or new, in the market.
This enhanced ability to capture sunlight from both the front and back of the panel results in a significant increase in total energy yield, especially in projects with high ground reflectivity (albedo), such as desert or snow-covered regions.
The Tiger Neo 3.0 is engineered for resilience in diverse climatic conditions. Its N-type TOPCon technology, combined with a remarkable temperature coefficient of -0.26%/ยฐC, ensures the mitigation of the module power loss at high temperatures. This makes it particularly effective in hot climates, delivering up to 1.7% more energy annually compared to modules with a lower temperature coefficient. Additionally, the modules exhibit excellent low-light performance, providing higher energy generation during overcast days, early mornings, and late afternoons, thereby extending the daily power generation window.
Durability and long-term performance are paramount for solar investments. The Tiger Neo 3.0 series demonstrate superior resistance to various forms of degradation, including Potential-Induced Degradation (PID) and Light- and Elevated Temperature-Induced Degradation (LeTID). The modules have an ultra-low first-year degradation of less than 1% and a minimal annual linear degradation rate of just 0.35%, ensuring consistent power output over decades. This is backed by an industry-leading 30-year linear power warranty, guaranteeing a minimum of 88.85% of the original power output after 30 years.
The combined technical advantages of the Tiger Neo 3.0 directly translate to a lower Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE). The high power output, superior efficiency, and increased energy yield per watt will lead to optimizing the overall balance of system-BOS, thus reducing the LCOE average for Utility scale PV projects and offering more profitable investments for developers.
