Crompton Greaves Wins ₹445 Crore Solar Rooftop Contract to Solarize 40,000 Households in Andhra Pradesh

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., a leading provider of home and energy solutions, has secured a major solar rooftop order in Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in the company’s renewable energy journey. The order will cover over 40,000 households with 2 KW on-grid rooftop systems, representing a total contract value of Rs. 445 Crs.

This 77 MW project is Crompton’s largest-ever solar rooftop order and comes just two months after the company entered the solar rooftop market. It follows a Rs. 52 Crs order earlier this month, underscoring the company’s rapid market traction, execution capabilities, and accelerating growth in the solar segment.

The solar rooftop market in India is estimated at Rs. 20,000–25,000 Crs and is projected to grow at over 20% annually, driven by rising residential adoption, falling system costs, improved technology affordability, and easier grid integration. Crompton aims to leverage this opportunity to scale sustainable energy solutions across households.

The project will provide reliable, sustainable, and easy-to-maintain solar solutions, supported by Crompton’s trained personnel and responsive service network, ensuring consistent performance across thousands of homes.
