India’s Solar Manufacturing Capacity to Surge as Pahal Solar Breaks Ground on 4 GW Integrated Facility in Surat

Pahal Solar has officially begun construction of its new manufacturing complex in Surat, Gujarat, following a Bhoomi Poojan ceremony. The facility will house two large-scale production units – a 2 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing line and a 2 GW aluminium frame production unit, targeted to be fully commissioned by late 2026.

The company confirmed that the upcoming facilities will integrate AI-enabled precision systems and advanced analytics tools to optimise manufacturing efficiency, maintain quality standards, and enhance output consistency.

Currently, Pahal Solar operates with 2.4 GW of solar module production capacity and 2 GW of ribbon and busbar manufacturing capacity. With the new development, the company is on track to increase its overall installed capacity to 4.4 GW within the current financial year, positioning itself as one of India’s leading integrated solar manufacturing companies.
