Serentica Renewables Appoints Industry Veteran Anil Kumar Singh As Director – Operations To Strengthen Renewable Energy Growth

Serentica Renewables, one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, has announced the appointment of Anil Kumar Singh as Director – Operations. In his new role, Anil will be based at Serentica’s Mumbai office and will report directly to Akshay Hiranandani, Chief Executive Officer. Anil Kumar Singh brings with him over 33 years of extensive experience across multiple sectors, including ports, cement, petrochemicals, thermal power, electricity distribution, telecom, and renewable energy. Over the course of his career, he has worked with several reputed organisations such as Tata Power, Tata Teleservices, and Tata Power Delhi Distribution, where he successfully led large-scale operational and technical initiatives.

Before joining Serentica, he served as Chief Project Officer at Adani Green Energy Limited, where he was responsible for overseeing asset management, operations, and project execution functions. Anil’s deep expertise in managing complex operations, optimizing processes, and executing large-scale infrastructure projects positions him well to strengthen Serentica’s operations. His leadership is expected to play a vital role in enhancing the company’s mission of accelerating India’s clean energy transition and expanding its renewable power portfolio to support industrial decarbonisation.

Commenting on the appointment, Akshay Hiranandani, CEO of Serentica Renewables, stated that Anil’s strong background in large-scale project execution and operational leadership comes at a crucial time for the company. He noted that Serentica is currently scaling its renewable energy portfolio to cater to India’s hard-to-abate industries, and Anil’s proven track record across the renewable value chain will significantly boost the company’s execution capabilities. Akshay added that Anil’s experience will further enable Serentica to deliver reliable, round-the-clock green energy solutions that help industries transition to sustainable practices.

Anil Kumar Singh holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, along with an MBA in Finance from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi. His academic background, combined with his decades of industry experience, makes him a strong addition to Serentica’s leadership team as the company continues to expand its presence in India’s renewable energy sector.
