Enercity and HANOVOLT, a specialist in rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems and smart energy storage solutions, have announced a new strategic partnership aimed at expanding their presence in northern Germany’s residential energy market. As part of the collaboration, enercity is acquiring a stake in the Hanover-based PV installer, strengthening both companies’ ability to deliver advanced, interconnected energy solutions for households.
The partnership focuses on combining HANOVOLT’s expertise in high-quality PV installations and intelligent storage systems with enercity’s experience in providing integrated energy services. Together, the two companies plan to accelerate growth beyond Hanover and serve a wider customer base across northern Germany with innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
According to Christian Haferkamp, Chief Sales Officer at enercity, the collaboration represents an important step in the company’s regional expansion strategy. He stated that HANOVOLT is a dynamic and profitable company that has successfully distinguished itself in a competitive market through the use of modern technologies and strong customer service. He added that this partnership aligns with enercity’s broader goal of achieving sustainable growth outside the Hanover region by offering smart, customer-focused energy solutions.
HANOVOLT, which already operates beyond Hanover’s city limits, also sees significant opportunities for growth in northern Germany. Managing Director Can Imat emphasized that quality remains the company’s key differentiator. He explained that HANOVOLT customers benefit from premium PV systems combined with advanced energy storage and control technologies. Partnering with enercity, he said, will allow the company to provide even more comprehensive and future-ready energy solutions that meet the evolving demands of the energy market.
The collaboration underscores the growing importance of interconnected energy systems in the residential sector. Integrating solar power generation, energy storage, and intelligent consumption management allows households to increase their energy self-sufficiency while easing the pressure on the electricity grid.
This, in turn, contributes to lowering overall system costs and stabilizing energy prices.Current energy analyses further highlight the need for continued renewable energy expansion, targeted grid development, and the seamless integration of energy storage systems as key prerequisites for ensuring an affordable and sustainable energy transition. Through their new partnership, enercity and HANOVOLT aim to play a pivotal role in advancing these goals, enabling more households to participate actively in Germany’s clean energy future.
