Sunsure Energy Signs Long-Term Solar PPA With Bisleri To Supply 48% Renewable Power In Sahibabad

Sunsure Energy, a leading provider of round-the-clock renewable energy solutions in India, has signed a long-term renewable Power Purchase Agreement with Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., the country’s most recognized packaged drinking water brand. Under this agreement, Sunsure will supply solar power to Bisleri’s manufacturing facility located in Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The initiative is expected to significantly reduce Bisleri’s carbon footprint by avoiding approximately 2,700 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.

Through this partnership, Bisleri will meet nearly 48% of its electricity needs with renewable energy, marking a substantial shift towards sustainable energy consumption. The solar power supplied by Sunsure will come from its 82.5 MWp solar plant in Erach, Uttar Pradesh, ensuring reliable and consistent green energy for the long term. The collaboration forms part of Bisleri’s larger sustainability commitment under its “Bisleri Greener Promise,” aimed at integrating cleaner energy solutions across its operations.

This agreement also highlights Sunsure Energy’s growing presence in Uttar Pradesh through its ‘UP Shakti’ initiative. The company recently commissioned its 10th solar plant in the state, increasing its total operational open access capacity in Uttar Pradesh to over 260 MWp. Sunsure provides renewable power solutions to a wide range of industries, including FMCG, data centers, ceramics, and metals, supporting the state’s transition to cleaner energy.

The long-term PPA between Sunsure Energy and Bisleri International demonstrates the increasing adoption of renewable energy by Indian industries and underscores the importance of solar power in reducing operational carbon footprints.
