NLC India Launches 565.6 MWp Solar PV Module Tender For Rajasthan Project

NLC India Limited, a ‘Navratna’ Government of India enterprise, has taken a significant step in its large-scale solar energy initiatives in Rajasthan by initiating a domestic competitive bidding process for the procurement of 565.6 MWp of Solar PV modules. These modules form a crucial part of the broader 810 MW Solar Power Project being developed at the RVUN Solar Park in Pugal, Bikaner. The move reflects NLC India’s ongoing commitment to promoting clean energy, supporting India’s renewable energy goals, and contributing to regional power generation capacity.

The company, headquartered in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, formally launched the procurement process with the issuance of the Tender Document on December 1, 2025. NLC India has opted to conduct the process using both e-Tender and e-Reverse Auction methods, ensuring that all interested parties have a fair opportunity to participate while securing the most competitive pricing for the project.

To ensure that only serious and qualified suppliers enter the bidding process, NLC India has mandated the submission of an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹7,85,30,000 (Rupees Seven Crore Eighty-Five Lakh and Thirty Thousand Only). The EMD acts as a financial commitment from prospective bidders and underscores the importance of securing credible suppliers for this high-capacity solar project.

The tender document also outlines a clear timeline for the procurement process. All bids must be submitted by January 7, 2026, at 14:00 Hrs. On the same day, the Techno-Commercial bids are scheduled to be opened at 14:30 Hrs, allowing for a swift and organized evaluation process. The structure of the tender ensures both efficiency and transparency, providing an equitable platform for all participating vendors.

To further safeguard the interests of the company, the contract framework includes the requirement of a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) from the successful bidder. The PBG will be equivalent to 3% of the total contract value and must remain valid for 66 months. This financial instrument serves as a strong assurance of the vendor’s commitment to delivering and maintaining the high-capacity solar modules for the Rajasthan project, adding a layer of security for NLC India.
