Hunton Fiber has entered into a long-term power supply agreement with Statkraft to secure stable and competitive electricity pricing for its manufacturing operations amid rising demand for its Nativo Wood Fiber Insulation products across the Nordic region.
Hunton Fiber CEO Arne Jebsen said the agreement will play a key role in supporting the companyโs expansion.
โFor us as a manufacturing company, this is an important agreement. It gives us stable and competitive electricity prices over time,โ Jebsen said. โDemand for Nativo Wood Fiber Insulation is increasing strongly throughout the Nordics, even in a historically weak construction market. The agreement supports our continued growth.โ
Statkraft Executive Vice President for Markets, Hallvard Granheim, welcomed the agreement and noted growing industrial interest in long-term energy contracts.
โWe are pleased to be able to contribute to a competitive power supply for Hunton Fiberโs expansion,โ Granheim said. โIt is good to see that demand for long-term power agreements is increasing again from both new and established industry customers.โ
