During their visit to Casablanca, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) delegation will meet with Morocco’s Minister of Economy and Finance and EBRD Governor, Nadia Fettah. The discussions are expected to focus on enhancing support for the private sector in Morocco, accelerating the country’s transition to a green economy, and promoting investments in key infrastructure projects. The delegation will also engage with representatives from local public and private companies, including clients in Morocco’s banking sector, and will sign agreements for several new investments.

Commenting on the visit, Mr Guyett, EBRD First Vice President, said that he was pleased to make his first visit to Morocco in this role and to meet with public- and private-sector clients. He noted that the visit provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen cooperation and explore new opportunities. He highlighted that the EBRD will support Morocco’s development priorities through investments in the energy transition, expanded access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), support for the innovation economy, and efforts to enhance private-sector competitiveness.
