NLC India Limited, a Navratna Government of India enterprise, announced on December 14, 2025, that it has received a Letter of Acceptance from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation Limited for a major solar power project in Uttar Pradesh. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The project involves the setting up of 110 MW (AC) grid-connected solar photovoltaic power projects and will be implemented under the captive mode.
Under the terms of the contract, NLC India Limited will be responsible for generating and supplying solar power to NCRTC for a long-term period of 25 years through a Power Purchase Agreement. The project is aimed at supporting clean and reliable energy supply for NCRTCโs operations while contributing to Indiaโs renewable energy goals. The Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date for the full project capacity has been fixed within 24 months from the effective date of the PPA, providing a clear execution timeline for the project.
The company confirmed that the project size is 110 MW (AC) and that the scope of work is focused on power generation and supply. NLC India Limited also clarified that neither its promoter, promoter group, nor any group companies have any interest in NCRTC. It further stated that the order does not fall under related party transactions, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
This project has been awarded against Bid No. DM/EL/COR-OF/282. The official communication related to the Letter of Acceptance was signed by Sushanta Kumar Panda, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of NLC India Limited. The award strengthens NLC India Limitedโs renewable energy portfolio and reflects its growing role in supporting large infrastructure projects with clean energy solutions. The project is expected to play a meaningful role in reducing carbon emissions while ensuring stable power supply over the long term.
