Visiolar has successfully completed the divestment of a utility-scale, ready-to-build (RTB) solar photovoltaic (PV) asset in Brandenburg, Germany. The project, consisting of a single 95 MWp installation, has been acquired by Sunovis, a platform company owned by Brookfield, under a sell-side M&A mandate exclusively executed by Capcora. The solar project had already reached full RTB status, with construction set to commence immediately following the acquisition.

The transaction represents one of the larger stand-alone PV assets currently being sold in the German market, which is typically characterized by smaller, fragmented project structures. Despite challenging market conditions, including evolving grid requirements, construction-cost volatility, and limited liquidity for isolated RTB assets, the project attracted strong interest from investors. This highlights both the thoroughness of the development work and the continued demand for well-structured solar opportunities in Germany.

Dr. Janis Meyerhof, CEO of Visiolar, commented that the successful sale of the 95 MWp project reflects the strength of Visiolar’s development platform and its commitment to bringing high-quality renewable-energy assets to market, even in a demanding environment for stand-alone PV projects in Germany. He expressed confidence in the project’s future under its new ownership and noted that Visiolar looks forward to continuing the growth of its regional project pipeline.

Markus Renz, Managing Director at Sunovis, stated that the acquisition represents an excellent addition to their expanding renewable-energy portfolio in Germany. He highlighted that the project meets Sunovis’ investment criteria in terms of scale, maturity, and long-term value creation, and praised the professionalism demonstrated throughout the transaction process. Renz reaffirmed Sunovis’ commitment to expanding its presence in the German solar market and contributing to the country’s energy transition.

Henning Prigge, Director at Capcora, emphasized that the transaction stands out in the increasingly demanding German PV market, where selling a stand-alone, ready-to-build project requires deep market knowledge, strong industry networks, disciplined preparation, and an efficient, investor-focused process. He expressed satisfaction in supporting Visiolar to achieve a positive outcome despite current market challenges. Legal advisory support for Visiolar was provided by Heuking and Kopernikus Rechtsanwälte, with Dr. Nicolas Penner representing Visiolar. Sunovis was legally represented by Orka and Oppenhoff.
