Alishan Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. has marked one of its most transformative years yet, emerging as a key reliability partner for India’s fast-evolving solar manufacturing sector. With the industry shifting from PERC to TOPCon technology, the demand for next-generation encapsulants has intensified and Alishan has responded with science-driven innovation, customer-centric collaboration, and strategic expansion.
A Leap Forward in Encapsulant Reliability
Over the past year, Alishan has focused extensively on advancing material reliability to meet the challenges posed by TOPCon modules, particularly UV exposure and moisture-induced degradation. A major achievement came from fine-tuning the EVA/POE ratio in its EPE films through in-house R&D guided by DOE methodologies. This microscopic understanding of material behavior enabled Alishan to engineer an encapsulant capable of sustaining 3X IEC stress conditions, positioning its EPE film as a benchmark product for TOPCon module reliability.
This performance advantage has significantly strengthened Alishan’s presence among India’s Tier-1 module manufacturers, contributing to its expanded production capacity of 6.6 GW.
Innovations to Support India’s Technology Transition
With solar cell technologies becoming more advanced, Alishan has introduced three key products designed to address India’s emerging reliability challenges. Its flagship Alishan EPE offers exceptional stability for TOPCon cells, while low-acid EVA serves as a superior back encapsulant, generating up to four times less acid than conventional EVA. Complementing these is EPE-DC, a down-conversion encapsulant that transforms harmful UV wavelengths into usable frequencies, helping reduce UV-induced degradation and supporting potential power gains.
These solutions collectively strengthen module performance and demonstrate the company’s commitment to anticipating technology needs ahead of market demand.
Building Sustainable Growth Through Quality and Partnerships
Alishan attributes its growth to consistent product quality, robust testing standards—including NABL-backed processes—and deep engagement with customers. Through joint qualification activities, continuous R&D investment, and responsive technical support, the company has positioned itself as a long-term reliability partner rather than just a materials supplier.
Looking Ahead: Expansion and Next-Generation Technologies
By next year, Alishan plans to scale its capacity to 10 GW, alongside exploring encapsulant solutions for BC and tandem cell technologies. The company is also in discussions with leading module makers for strategic partnerships, including capacity booking and co-development programs. With planned facilities in North and West India, Alishan is set to accelerate India’s transition toward high-efficiency, high-durability solar modules.
