The Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RREC), a government-owned entity, has invited tenders for a significant rooftop solar initiative across state government buildings. The project aims to install solar photovoltaic (PV) power systems with a combined capacity of 33 MWp, covering design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning. Along with the installation, the project includes net-metering facilities and a comprehensive operation and maintenance commitment for 25 years from the date of commissioning, ensuring long-term sustainability and efficient performance.
The solar installations are planned across five districts in the state. Pali has been allocated the largest portion of the project, with a capacity of 13 MW, followed by Jodhpur with 8 MW and Sirohi with 7 MW. The districts of Baran and Bundi will share a combined capacity of 5 MW. The tender allows interested bidders to quote for a minimum capacity of 5 MWp and up to the full 33 MWp, offering flexibility for different project scales and bidder capacities.
Financial requirements for participating in the tender include a bid security of โน8,32,780 per MW, representing 2 percent of the benchmark cost set by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). Bidders also need to pay a non-refundable bid document cost of โน5,900, including GST, along with e-procurement charges of โน2,500.
The tender process has a structured timeline. Documents for the tender became available for download on December 24, 2025. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for January 2, 2026, at the RREC conference hall in Jaipur, while pre-bid queries must be submitted via email by January 3, 2026. Electronic submission of bids through the state e-procurement portal is required by 6:00 PM on January 27, 2026, and physical submission of tender costs and bid security is due by noon on January 28, 2026. The technical bids will be opened at 5:00 PM on the same day, with price bids to be opened later for those bidders who qualify technically. This large-scale initiative reflects the state governmentโs commitment to promoting renewable energy and increasing solar power adoption in Rajasthan.
