China-based LEAPTING (Huzhou LEAPTING Technology Co., Ltd.) has secured a significant contract with Waaree Renewables to deploy over 2,000 PV module cleaning robots across three large-scale solar power plants in Rajasthan, India. The combined capacity of the projects is approximately 1.2 GWp, built on 2P fixed-tilt structures.
The plants will feature LEAPTING’s G1 water-free automated cleaning robots, engineered specifically for Indian conditions. The robots are designed to provide high cleaning efficiency, low maintenance costs, and reliable operation in dusty and high-temperature environments, ensuring optimal performance of utility-scale solar installations.
Huzhou LEAPTING Technology Co., Ltd. specialises in intelligent robotic solutions for large solar power plants, offering end-to-end services from design and development to deployment, aiming to enhance the operational efficiency and longevity of solar assets.
This deployment underscores the growing adoption of automation and smart maintenance technologies in India’s rapidly expanding solar energy sector.
