Boviet Solar Expands U.S. Manufacturing with Greenville Facilities, Boosting Domestic Solar Production and Jobs

Boviet Solar, a leading solar energy technology company specializing in high-efficiency monocrystalline PV cells and modules, has outlined its U.S. manufacturing plans, emphasizing a long-term commitment to the domestic solar market. The company operates two major facilities in Greenville, North Carolina, aimed at supporting the rapid growth of utility-scale, commercial, community-solar, and residential projects nationwide.

Phase I: PV Module Manufacturing
The first phase of Boviet Solarโ€™s U.S. operations began with the opening of its PV module manufacturing facility on April 24, 2025. Spanning 521,468 square feet, the fully operational facility represents an investment of approximately $294 million and has an annual production capacity of 3 GW. The plant manufactures the companyโ€™s Gamma Seriesโ„ข Mono-Monofacial and Vega Seriesโ„ข Mono-Bifacial PV modules, catering to utility-scale, community-solar, commercial, industrial, and residential projects across the U.S.

The Phase I facility has already generated over 300 skilled jobs in manufacturing, engineering, and operations, contributing to workforce development and economic growth in eastern North Carolina.

Phase II: PV Cell Manufacturing
Building on the success of Phase I, Boviet Solar initiated construction of its Phase II PV cell manufacturing facility in January 2025. Covering approximately 600,000 square feet, the $100 million facility will produce 3 GW of advanced P-Type and N-Type PV cells annually. The project is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026 and will create more than 900 additional jobs, further strengthening U.S. solar manufacturing capacity and vertical integration.
