Océalia Cooperative Group and TSE, a leading French agrivoltaics company, have signed a strategic partnership to co-develop 500MWc of agrivoltaic solutions across Océalia’s territory over the next decade. The initiative aims to produce the equivalent of annual electricity consumption for nearly 120,000 households, while maintaining agricultural productivity.

The projects will be managed through a dedicated entity, HORME, tasked with developing and operating TSE’s agrivoltaic installations. Cooperative members and local authorities are expected to benefit from the economic returns of these new assets.

Supporting Farmers and Regional Resilience
The partnership aligns with Océalia’s CAP 2030 strategy, which focuses on value creation for cooperative members. By integrating renewable energy production with agriculture, farmers can generate additional, diversified income without compromising the land’s productive use. Agrivoltaics offers a hedge against climatic hazards and agricultural market volatility, strengthening economic resilience in areas with limited irrigation and higher exposure to climate change impacts.

According to Denis Mathé, President of Océalia:
“It is with optimism and responsibility that Océalia commits to this partnership. We will ensure fair remuneration for Cooperative Associates while prioritizing the agricultural use of the land.”

A “Win-Win” for Agriculture, Energy, and Territories
TSE emphasized that the collaboration supports local sustainable energy production while reinforcing agricultural resilience. The agrivoltaic solutions comply with France’s APER Law and enable dual land use for carbon-free electricity generation and continued agricultural production.

Bertrand Drouot L’Hermine, Deputy CEO of TSE, said:
“This partnership allows TSE to deliver proven agrivoltaic solutions that benefit farmers and local communities alike. By combining local carbon-free electricity production with sustainable agriculture, we support both territorial value creation and strategic energy sovereignty.”

Océalia and TSE will jointly manage all stages of project development, ensuring that agrivoltaics contributes to sustainable farming, regional development, and energy transition goals.
