NTPC Invites Bids For O&M Of 4 MW Solar Microgrid Project In Greater Noida

NTPC Limited, a leading Government of India enterprise, has invited online bids for an Operation and Maintenance (O&M) contract for its solar microgrid project at NTPC NETRA in Greater Noida. The tender follows a domestic competitive bidding process and is open only to eligible Indian suppliers. The contract covers a 4 MW solar PV-based microgrid and will be awarded for a period of two years.

According to the tender notice, the bid was officially issued on January 23, 2026, under NIT No: NTPC/EOC/9900318400. Interested bidders can download the tender documents from the NTPC e-tender portal. While the exact dates for document download, bid submission, and technical bid opening are available on the portal, NTPC has clarified that there is no cost for the bidding documents. However, bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of INR 1,00,000 through the online portal as part of the bidding process.

The tender outlines clear technical and financial eligibility conditions. On the technical side, bidders must have experience in operation and maintenance, erection, or commissioning of electrical systems during the last seven years. This experience should meet at least one of the specified criteria: completion of one similar work worth a minimum of INR 30 lakhs, or two works worth at least INR 19 lakhs each, or three works worth at least INR 15 lakhs each. These values must be calculated without including taxes or GST.

From a financial perspective, bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least INR 38 lakhs during the previous three financial years. This requirement is aimed at ensuring that only financially stable firms participate in the bidding process. Details related to the Performance Bank Guarantee are not mentioned in the summary and are expected to be provided in the full tender documents available on the portal.

The tender also includes provisions to support Micro and Small Enterprises. Eligible MSEs registered as service providers or manufacturers will receive purchase preference benefits as per government guidelines. At the same time, NTPC has clearly stated that participation is limited to Class-I local suppliers. Bids submitted by Class-II local suppliers or non-local suppliers will not be considered.
