Saatvik Green Energy Limited has received Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for its N-TOPCON bifacial G12R solar module. With this achievement, the company became one of the few Indian solar manufacturers to publish independently verified EPDs under The International EPD System. The certification is based on a detailed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) carried out in line with ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards. The assessment shows that Saatvik’s module has a low life-cycle carbon footprint when compared with publicly available EPDs for modern TOPCon solar modules around the world.

The EPD evaluates the environmental impact of the module across all stages of its life—starting from raw material extraction, moving through the manufacturing process, continuing through its operational life, and ending with disposal or recycling. The N-TOPCON bifacial G12R module offers a power output of up to 625 Wp and an efficiency of 23.12%. According to the EPD results, it has a cradle-to-gate global warming potential of 0.379 kg CO₂-eq/Wp. This places it in the lower range of carbon-intensity values reported for similar TOPCon modules, highlighting its comparatively reduced environmental impact.

By combining high efficiency with a low carbon footprint across its life cycle, the module enables customers to generate more clean energy while meeting increasingly strict global sustainability requirements. As international markets put greater emphasis on verified environmental data and transparent reporting, such certifications play an important role in influencing procurement and investment decisions.

Commenting on the achievement, Prashant Mathur, CEO of Saatvik Green Energy Limited, said that securing EPD certification strengthens the company’s commitment to transparency and responsible production. He noted that providing independently verified environmental information helps customers and partners make well-informed decisions aligned with global sustainability standards. He added that the certification demonstrates how advanced solar technology and low-carbon manufacturing can work together, reflecting both the company’s manufacturing capabilities and India’s expanding leadership in sustainable energy solutions.
