Saatvik Green Energy Limited has secured Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for its N-TOPCON bifacial G12R solar module, marking a significant milestone in its sustainability journey. With this achievement, Saatvik becomes one of the few Indian solar manufacturers to publish independently verified EPDs under The International EPD System.

The certification is based on a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) conducted in compliance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards. The assessment confirms that Saatvik’s N-TOPCON bifacial G12R module delivers a low life-cycle carbon footprint when benchmarked against publicly available EPDs for modern TOPCon solar modules globally.

The EPD evaluates the module’s environmental impact across its entire life cycle, from raw material extraction and manufacturing to usage and end-of-life disposal. The N-TOPCON bifacial G12R module offers a power output of up to 625 Wp and achieves an efficiency of 23.12%. According to the EPD, the module records a cradle-to-gate global warming potential of 0.379 kg CO₂-eq/Wp, positioning it among the lower-emission solar modules in its category.

The combination of high efficiency and reduced life-cycle carbon footprint enables customers to optimise clean energy generation while meeting increasingly stringent sustainability and environmental reporting requirements. The certification also supports transparent procurement processes as global markets continue to prioritise verifiable environmental performance metrics.

Commenting on the development, Prashant Mathur, Chief Executive Officer of Saatvik Green Energy Limited, said, “Securing EPD certification reinforces our commitment to transparency and responsible manufacturing. By offering independently verified environmental data, we enable our customers and partners to make informed decisions aligned with global sustainability benchmarks. This certification demonstrates that advanced solar technology and low-carbon manufacturing can go hand in hand, reflecting our manufacturing excellence and India’s growing leadership in sustainable energy solutions.”
