SUNation Energy Inc., a leading provider of sustainable solar energy and backup power solutions for residential, commercial, and municipal customers, has announced a new strategic financing agreement with Palmetto. Under the terms of the agreement, the LightReach platform will offer lease and power purchase agreement (PPA) financing options tailored to expand homeowner access to residential solar installations. These structures are designed to make clean energy adoption easier by enabling predictable monthly payments, while also improving project economics and cash flow efficiency for SUNation. The partnership is expected to support a wide range of residential solar system deployments, allowing more customers to transition to renewable energy solutions without the financial barriers traditionally associated with upfront investment.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer Scott Maskin emphasized the significance of the agreement as the company approaches the post-investment tax credit (ITC) era in 2026. He noted that the collaboration strengthens SUNation’s residential financing platform and enhances its ability to offer affordable solar energy options to homeowners. Maskin added that improved financing flexibility positions the company for continued growth as market conditions evolve.

He stated that the partnership aligns closely with Palmetto’s mission to simplify and broaden access to clean energy for American households, ensuring that more families can benefit from reliable and affordable solar power.

SUNation expects the financing collaboration to accelerate project execution and customer adoption in 2026 and in the years beyond. By expanding accessible financing pathways and streamlining deployment, the partnership aims to advance residential solar uptake at a pivotal moment for the clean energy transition.
