American Clean Power Association Announces 2026 Board And Officers, Led by David Carroll Of ENGIE, To Guide U.S. Clean Energy Growth As 90% Of New Electricity Capacity Comes From Renewables

The American Clean Power Association (ACP), the leading trade organization for the clean energy industry, has announced its new Board of Directors and Officers for 2026. The ACP Board brings together leaders from across the clean power sector, representing a wide range of clean energy technologies. In a year when the United States is expected to add over 90 percent of new electricity capacity from clean energy resources, the Boardโ€™s role is critical in guiding the industry through complex political and economic challenges, while ensuring the delivery of affordable and reliable power to the nation.

Jason Grumet, CEO of ACP, highlighted the importance of the new leadership team, stating that the energy sector is facing an unprecedented combination of political pressure, high demand, and public attention. He emphasized that the Board is well-equipped to provide strategic vision and practical direction to advance clean energy, helping maintain a reliable and accessible power supply across the country.The new Board and Officers will serve a one-year term. The leadership team includes David Carroll, CEO and Chief Renewables Officer of ENGIE North America, as Chair; Ken Young, President and CEO of Apex Clean Energy Inc., as Chair-Elect; Manav Sharma, CEO North America of Nordex Group, as Treasurer; and Andrew Flanagan, CEO of RWE Clean Energy, as Secretary.

David Carroll expressed his enthusiasm about serving as Board Chair, noting the unique moment in U.S. energy development.
