In a significant move toward clean energy and decarbonization, Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL) has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GoodEnough Energy and Indoplast to replace conventional Diesel Generator (DG) sets with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The pilot project aims to provide clean and reliable backup power while reducing dependence on fossil fuels. By using smart charging and discharging methods, the BESS will help optimize energy costs and improve overall power efficiency. The initiative will also support better integration of renewable energy into the grid.
Through this collaboration, NPCL plans to enhance grid flexibility and lower carbon emissions. The project reflects the companyโs commitment to delivering customer-focused and sustainable energy solutions. It also highlights NPCLโs growing role in supporting Indiaโs energy transition and promoting environmentally responsible power infrastructure.
