Essens Renewable Private Limited, formerly known as RWE Solar India and Belectric Photovoltaic India Pvt Ltd, has announced that it has secured a 400 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in the state of Rajasthan, marking a significant milestone in the companyโ€™s renewable energy portfolio expansion.

According to the company, the project represents the largest solar installation at a single location awarded by a private independent power producer (IPP) in its operational history. The ground-mounted facility will utilize a fixed-tilt solar PV system, designed to deliver reliable large-scale renewable energy generation.

The development forms a crucial step toward Essens Renewableโ€™s strategic objective of achieving 3 GWp of installed solar capacity, strengthening its position within Indiaโ€™s rapidly expanding renewable energy sector. The project is expected to contribute significantly to the companyโ€™s long-term growth while supporting the countryโ€™s broader clean energy transition.

Industry observers note that large-scale solar deployments in Rajasthan continue to attract significant investment due to the stateโ€™s high solar irradiation levels, land availability, and supportive policy framework, positioning it as one of Indiaโ€™s most important solar development hubs.
