Tata Power has announced a strategic collaboration with Salesforce to digitally transform its rapidly growing rooftop solar, EV charging, and smart home energy businesses, reinforcing its long-term clean energy roadmap aligned with Indiaโs net-zero ambitions.
Under the collaboration, Tata Power will deploy Salesforceโs AI-powered platform across its renewable energy subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), to build an integrated digital ecosystem for managing partners, customers, and operations across the renewable energy value chain.
The deployment includes Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service, and Agentforce Marketing, which will enable intelligent workflows, real-time data insights, and seamless omnichannel engagement for customers and partners. The platform is designed to enhance lead management, improve inventory visibility, streamline operational processes, and support faster decision-making as the company expands its clean energy portfolio.
According to Tata Power, the digital platform will serve as the backbone for scaling its nationwide rooftop solar (RTS) installations, EV charging infrastructure, and intelligent home energy management solutions.
Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Power, said digital capabilities are critical for scaling renewable energy businesses and strengthening customer engagement. He noted that the partnership with Salesforce will help transform partner and customer journeys while improving operational efficiency.
Tata Power has also built a proprietary deep-learning and agentic intelligence layer on top of the Salesforce platform. This technology will enable zero-touch quality and safety validation for rooftop solar installations, including instant on-site verification and automated warranty generation for its Solaroof offerings.
The companyโs residential rooftop solar segment has recorded over 200% growth during the past two financial years, supported by strong policy momentum under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana. Tata Power said its overall solar portfolio revenues have increased fivefold between FY2020 and FY2025.
Going forward, Tata Power and Salesforce plan to co-develop AI-driven workflows to further enhance customer and partner contact-centre operations and accelerate Indiaโs clean energy transition.
