Trianel Energieprojekte GmbH & Co. KG has announced the successful sale of its 70.4 MWp Brandenburg solar park to Nuveen European Core Renewable Infrastructure Strategy. The transaction was completed in January 2026 and marks another significant step in Trianel’s continued expansion and successful marketing of large-scale solar projects. With this sale, the company further strengthens its position as one of Germany’s leading municipal developers of renewable-energy and storage projects. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

The solar park, located along the Berlin‑Halle railway line, began operations in April 2025. It benefits from a long-term feed-in tariff under Germany’s Renewable Energy Sources Act, ensuring over 20 years of stable electricity revenue. In addition to this guaranteed tariff, the project’s flexible marketing approach provides opportunities to capture further value from the electricity market, enhancing its long-term commercial appeal.

Commenting on the transaction, Maurice Jäckel, Senior Investment Manager at Trianel, noted that the sale reflects the company’s ability to consistently deliver utility-scale solar projects from the planning phase through to successful handover. He added that Nuveen’s investment demonstrates that Trianel’s projects meet the strict sustainability and quality expectations of institutional investors. The deal also highlights the effectiveness of cooperation between municipal project developers and major investment entities, helping build a foundation for future long-term partnerships.

Trianel continues to grow as a key player in Germany’s renewable-energy landscape. In addition to solar and wind, the company has been strengthening its involvement in battery energy storage systems. Last year, it successfully completed and sold four hybrid PV-plus-storage projects with a combined capacity exceeding 50 MWp. More projects are already under development and scheduled to begin operations in the near future, reflecting the company’s strategic commitment to supporting Germany’s energy transition with reliable clean-energy infrastructure.

For the Brandenburg solar park transaction, Trianel received advisory support from Green Giraffe Advisory, a firm known internationally for its expertise in renewable-energy deals. This sale underscores Trianel’s strong execution capabilities and its role in shaping Germany’s evolving renewable-energy market through high-quality, institutionally backed projects.
