The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy of Tunisia has launched a tender inviting developers to submit proposals for the development of a 300 MW photovoltaic solar power project integrated with a 150 MW/540 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
The project will be implemented under a concession agreement as part of Tunisia’s national renewable energy development program. It will be developed on a 440-hectare site in Bazma, located in the Kebili governorate, a region known for its strong solar resource potential.
According to the ministry, tender documents and related addenda will be provided via email to promoters who register to participate through the official AO 01-2026 registration portal. The registration period will remain open until May 8, 2026.
The government has set October 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM (Tunis time) as the deadline for submitting bids.
The initiative forms part of Tunisia’s broader strategy to accelerate renewable energy deployment, strengthen grid stability through energy storage integration, and expand the country’s solar power generation capacity.
