Aavin Invites Tenders For Solar Power Procurement And Wastewater Management Projects In Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producersโ€™ Federation Limited, popularly known as Aavin, has invited two-part tenders for major infrastructure and utility-related projects aimed at improving sustainability and operational efficiency across its dairy facilities. The tender notice was issued from the organizationโ€™s headquarters located in Nandanam in Chennai.

According to the announcement, the tenders are open to experienced and reputed firms capable of handling large-scale energy and environmental management projects for both TCMPF and DCMPU dairy units. The federation is focusing on improving its energy sourcing and wastewater management systems as part of a broader effort to enhance sustainable practices in dairy production.

One of the key projects involves the procurement of solar power for captive consumption. This intra-state initiative is designed to support the energy needs of Aavinโ€™s dairy operations through renewable power sources. The project requires an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of โ‚น50,00,000, indicating the large scale and importance of the solar power supply contract.

The second project is related to environmental management at the Sholinganallur Dairy facility. Under this tender, the federation is seeking services for the retreatment and disposal of treated wastewater generated from the dairy operations. The EMD for this project has been set at โ‚น50,000. The initiative reflects the organizationโ€™s efforts to strengthen responsible waste management and environmental compliance.

Interested bidders can download the tender documents starting from March 5, 2026. The last date for submission of bids has been fixed as April 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM. To address queries and provide clarity on the project requirements, a pre-bid meeting will be held on March 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

Aavin has specified that the entire bidding process will be conducted through the electronic eProcurement portal. The technical bids are scheduled to be opened online on April 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Bidders are advised to regularly check the official portal for any updates, corrigenda, or additional information related to the tenders. This initiative reflects Aavinโ€™s growing focus on renewable energy adoption and improved environmental management in its dairy operations.
