ACME Solar Holdings Limited (ASHL) has reported major progress in its renewable energy portfolio by commissioning new capacity under two large Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Rajasthan. The company shared these updates with the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India, highlighting a strong step toward strengthening Indiaโ€™s energy storage infrastructure.

In one development, ASHLโ€™s wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Surya Power Private Limited, has commissioned the first phase of its BESS project in Jaimalsar village in Bikaner. This phase adds 60 MW / 269.606 MWh of storage capacity. The overall project is planned at a much larger scale of 250 MW / 1103.392 MWh. With this commissioning, the company has started building a strong presence in the regionโ€™s energy storage segment. The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for this first phase has been set for March 25, 2026.

At the same time, another subsidiary, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited, has achieved progress in its BESS project located across Sanwara and Mehar Nagar in the Jaisalmer district. The company has commissioned the fourth phase of this project, adding 95 MW / 200.64 MWh. This comes after earlier phases were completed and announced during February and early March 2026.

With the fourth phase now operational, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited has reached a total commissioned capacity of 171 MW / 361.14 MWh. The full project is planned to reach 285 MW / 601.904 MWh. Similar to the Bikaner project, the COD for this phase is also scheduled for March 25, 2026.

These developments show the companyโ€™s focus on expanding energy storage solutions in India. Battery Energy Storage Systems play an important role in managing power supply, especially when renewable energy sources like solar are involved. Since solar power generation depends on sunlight, storage systems help store excess electricity and supply it when demand is high.

By investing in large-scale BESS projects, ACME Solar is supporting grid stability and improving energy reliability in Rajasthan. These projects also help in better use of renewable energy and reduce wastage of generated power.

The companyโ€™s updates were formally communicated by its Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, Rajesh Sodhi. Headquartered in Gurugram, ACME Solar Holdings Limited continues to expand its renewable energy footprint. The latest project milestones reflect the companyโ€™s ongoing efforts to develop large energy storage systems and support Indiaโ€™s clean energy transition.
