Saatvik Green Energy Limited, one of Indiaโs fastest-growing and fully integrated renewable energy companies listed on the BSE and NSE, has received the Bronze Medal from EcoVadis, a globally recognized organization that evaluates business sustainability practices. This achievement marks Saatvikโs first-ever EcoVadis recognition and places the company among a select group of global enterprises acknowledged for strong sustainability performance.
Saatvik secured an overall score of 69 out of 100, positioning it in the 79th percentile among all companies assessed worldwide. This strong debut reflects the companyโs commitment to environmental, social, and governance excellence. The EcoVadis assessment reviewed Saatvikโs policies and practices across four key areas: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
EcoVadis assesses more than 130,000 companies globally and bases its ratings on leading international sustainability standards, including the UN Global Compact Principles, International Labour Organization conventions, Global Reporting Initiative guidelines, and ISO 26000. The evaluation provides companies with a rigorous, evidence-based rating while also serving as a framework for continuous improvement.
Earning this recognition in its very first assessment cycle demonstrates the strength of Saatvik Green Energy Limitedโs sustainability foundation and its alignment with global ESG requirements. It highlights the companyโs dedicated efforts to integrate sustainable practices into its core operations. Saatvik has been actively working to reduce its environmental footprint, promote responsible sourcing, build an inclusive and supportive workplace, and ensure strong ethical governance throughout its value chain.
Sharing his thoughts on the achievement, Prashant Mathur, CEO of Saatvik Green Energy Limited, said that earning the EcoVadis Bronze Medal on the companyโs first attempt validates its sustainability-first mindset. He noted that this recognition enhances Saatvikโs credibility with global customers, investors, and partners who increasingly expect transparency and responsibility from the companies they engage with. He added that ESG is not merely a compliance requirement for Saatvik but a core driver of long-term value creation and sustainable growth.
From a strategic perspective, this first EcoVadis rating significantly boosts Saatvikโs global positioning. It reinforces the companyโs ability to compete in international markets, meet evolving ESG expectations, and strengthen relationships with stakeholders who place a high priority on sustainability performance.
