The Paraรฑaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) has reaffirmed its commitment to reliable and sustainable public service by continuing to operate on 100% renewable energy sourced from geothermal power supplied by First Gen Corporation.

The move ensures uninterrupted terminal operations amid evolving national energy conditions, while reinforcing PITXโ€™s focus on long-term sustainability. Although no widespread power interruptions have been mandated, the terminal has enhanced its operational readiness through contingency measures, including backup systems, close coordination with transport partners, and improved passenger support services.

According to Mohit Malhi, PITXโ€™s operations are anchored on stability and sustainability, with geothermal energy enabling continuous service while contributing to a cleaner and more resilient energy future.

As the countryโ€™s first landport, PITX plays a critical role in maintaining efficient commuter movement. Its reliance on geothermal energyโ€”an indigenous and dependable renewable sourceโ€”positions the terminal to remain resilient amid global fuel supply volatility.

In parallel, PITX is advancing sustainable mobility initiatives through Xpress EV, an electric-powered transport service integrated within the terminal. The solution complements its renewable energy usage by offering commuters a cleaner alternative to conventional fuel-based transport.
