Tetracore Energy Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Huawei and Inspirive Technologies to develop a $400 million Tier III data centre at the Tetracore Energy Park in Ogun State.
The upcoming 20 MW facility is designed under an โenergy-to-digitalโ model, aimed at addressing Nigeriaโs long-standing power reliability challenges while accelerating the growth of its digital infrastructure. The project is expected to be completed within 10 to 12 months and will adhere to global Tier III standards, ensuring high redundancy and operational resilience.
According to Olakunle Williams, the initiative reflects the critical role of stable energy supply in enabling digital transformation. He highlighted that the Energy Park has been developed to support large-scale, complex infrastructure projects, reinforcing the companyโs integrated approach to energy and technology.
Under the partnership, Tetracore will provide a dedicated energy backbone powered by its 100 MW Independent Power Plant, while Huawei will contribute advanced data centre technologies. Inspirive Technologies will support execution with local expertise, ensuring scalability and efficient deployment.
The facility is expected to strengthen Nigeriaโs digital backbone by supporting enterprise operations, cloud adoption, and data-driven innovation. It is also designed to handle AI-driven workloads and advanced analytics, addressing the growing demand for high-performance computing and low-latency processing across Africa.
By integrating the data centre within the Energy Park, the project ensures a stable power supply independent of national grid constraints, enhancing reliability for critical operations. The facility will cater to high-growth sectors including fintech, telecommunications, e-commerce, education, and emerging technology startups.
The development marks a significant step in reducing reliance on offshore data hosting while improving data sovereignty and security in Nigeriaโs rapidly evolving digital economy.
