Himachal Pradesh Floats Tender for 9 MW Solar Project with 6.3 MWh BESS in Solan

Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) has issued a Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for the development of a solar-plus-storage project in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The tender, released on March 31, 2026, invites bids through a national open competitive e-tendering process.

The project, titled Dabhota-I Solar Power Project, will comprise a 9 MW (AC) solar photovoltaic plant integrated with a 3.15 MW / 6.3 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Designed as a hybrid renewable energy project, it aims to enhance grid stability and ensure efficient power management through storage-backed generation.

The selected bidder will execute the project on a turnkey EPC basis, covering design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and grid integration. The scope also includes comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a period of 15 years.

The bidding process will follow a single-stage, two-envelope system with an e-reverse auction mechanism. Developers must meet specified financial and technical eligibility criteria to qualify for participation.

  • Earnest Money Deposit (EMD): ₹1.5 Crore
  • Tender Document Cost: ₹10,000 (inclusive of GST)
  • Minimum Turnover Requirement: ₹29 Crore (last 3 financial years)
  • Experience Requirement: Prior solar + BESS project execution
