The Energy Solutions Business of Godrej Enterprises Group has secured an order to develop a 98 MWp (70 MW AC) open-access solar power plant in Sirsa, marking its largest project by capacity to date and the largest open-access solar installation in the state.
The project has been awarded by Hexa Climate Solutions, under which Godrej will undertake turnkey execution, including engineering, procurement, and construction. Once operational, the plant is expected to generate approximately 147 million kWh of clean energy annually, contributing significantly to industrial renewable energy adoption in the region.
According to company estimates, the project will help reduce carbon emissions by over 75,000 tonnes of COโ annually, equivalent to planting around 3.5 million trees, supporting Indiaโs broader climate and sustainability goals.
The solar installation will utilize bifacial TOPCon modules integrated with string inverters and smart monitoring systems to enhance generation efficiency and operational performance.
Raghavendra Mirji, Executive Vice President and Business Head โ Energy Solutions at Godrej Enterprises Group, stated that the project represents a significant milestone in the companyโs renewable energy journey and reinforces its role in supporting Indiaโs clean energy transition. He added that the initiative will also contribute to local employment generation and infrastructure development in the region.
The company indicated that it will collaborate with regional partners and engage local communities during project execution, while adhering to stringent environmental standards.
With this order, the Energy Solutions Business of Godrej Enterprises Group further strengthens its position in the renewable energy sector. The business has already executed approximately 98 MWp of solar installations across India, highlighting its growing presence in the countryโs clean energy ecosystem.
