The Ministry of Power has extended the deadline for submission of Renewable Consumption Obligation (RCO) compliance details for FY 2024–25 by two months, providing relief to obligated entities facing operational challenges.
According to an official communication, the revised deadline for submitting final RCO compliance reports has been moved to May 31, 2026. The extension comes in response to multiple requests from stakeholders citing difficulties in meeting the original timeline.
The decision has been approved by the competent authority, underscoring the government’s flexible approach in ensuring compliance while addressing industry constraints.
The notification, issued by Sanjeev Prasad, Under Secretary to the Government of India, has also been directed for publication on the Ministry’s official website under the “Current Notices” section to inform all relevant stakeholders.
