Pace Digitek Limited has signed a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) EPC contract worth ₹4,945.4 million with NTPC Limited. The project will be implemented at the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Station in Bihar, marking an important development in India’s energy storage sector.
The contract includes the deployment of a 200 MW / 400 MWh BESS project. Pace Digitek will handle the complete scope of work under this agreement. This covers the supply of equipment, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of the system. In addition, the company will provide long-term lifecycle maintenance and support services for a period of 11 years after the project becomes operational.
Battery Energy Storage Systems play a key role in improving grid stability and supporting renewable energy integration. With the rising share of solar and wind energy in India, such storage projects are becoming increasingly important to manage power demand and supply efficiently.
This contract highlights Pace Digitek’s growing presence in the energy storage segment and its capability to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects. It also reflects continued investment by NTPC in advanced technologies to strengthen the country’s power infrastructure. The project is expected to contribute to India’s broader clean energy and sustainability goals.
