TotalEnergies ENEOS has signed a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Jintana Intertrade Co., Ltd. to develop a 650 kilowatt-peak (kWp) rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Jintana’s manufacturing facility in Nakhon Ratchasima.
The installation, comprising approximately 1,000 solar PV modules, is expected to generate over 1,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually. The system will meet around 55% of the facility’s total electricity demand and is projected to reduce carbon emissions by more than 480 tonnes of CO₂ each year.
Under the agreement, TotalEnergies ENEOS will undertake full responsibility for financing, design, installation, operation, and maintenance of the system, while Jintana will procure the generated electricity over the contract period. The arrangement is expected to provide long-term cost savings, energy price stability, and enhanced sustainability performance for the manufacturer.
Company representatives highlighted that the project reflects the growing adoption of on-site solar solutions among industrial players seeking to reduce operational costs and meet sustainability targets.
The partnership marks a significant step in Jintana’s transition toward cleaner energy and supports broader efforts to decarbonize manufacturing operations in the region.
