Adani Green Energy Limited has achieved an important milestone in its renewable energy expansion by starting operations at a new solar power project in Khavda, Gujarat. The company announced on April 22, 2026, that a 292 MW solar plant has been successfully operationalized through its wholly owned subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Twenty Six A Limited.
The decision to begin operations was taken at 7:37 p.m. on April 22 after receiving all the required approvals and clearances. The project is expected to start generating power from April 23, 2026. This development is part of the companyโs larger plan to increase its renewable energy capacity across India and strengthen its presence in the clean energy sector.
With the addition of this new solar project, the total operational renewable energy capacity of the company has reached 19,585.8 MW. Along with this, its Battery Energy Storage Systems capacity has also grown significantly and now stands at 1,376 MWh. This reflects the companyโs continued focus on building a strong mix of solar power and energy storage solutions to support reliable and sustainable electricity supply.
The company has officially informed stock exchanges, including BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited, about this development under the required regulatory framework. The disclosure was made in line with SEBI guidelines and was signed by the companyโs secretary.
