JinkoSolar has signed a landmark 500MW framework agreement with Fouani Group in Nigeria, dedicated entirely to the distributed generation (DG) market, targeting systematic growth in commercial, industrial, and residential solar across Nigeria.

Under the agreement, JinkoSolar will supply 500MW of high-efficiency modules exclusively for DG applications. These solutions will be deployed on factory rooftops, shopping malls, office buildings, and residential homes, enabling end users to combat rising electricity costs driven by high global oil prices, reduce reliance on diesel generators, and access reliable, clean, and affordable self-generated power.

The agreement marks the establishment of a strategic DG partnership between the two companies. Leveraging JinkoSolarโ€™s world-class technology and product reliability, combined with Fouani Groupโ€™s local distribution and service network in Nigeria, the collaboration will accelerate the adoption of distributed solar and support the governmentโ€™s energy transformation roadmap.

Mohamed Fouani, Managing Director of Fouani Group, stated at the signing ceremony:

โ€œIn response to high global oil prices and the vital need for sustainable energy, Fouani Group and Jinko have joined forces. Guided by the governmentโ€™s roadmap for transformation, this partnership ensures that we will play a major role in every light that shines across the country.โ€
