KPI Green Energy Limited has announced a significant achievement by securing Notifications of Award (NOAs) for a 500 MW solar power project from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited. The project marks an important step in KPI Green Energy’s expansion plans and also represents the company’s first major renewable energy project in Rajasthan, which is considered one of India’s leading renewable energy hubs.
The total contract value for the project stands at approximately ₹621 crore, excluding GST. The project has been divided into two separate blocks for smoother execution and development. The first block consists of a 300 MW solar project valued at around ₹367 crore, while the second block includes a 200 MW project worth nearly ₹254 crore.
As part of the contract, KPI Green Energy will execute the complete Balance of System (BOS) package for both projects. The scope of work includes the supply of plant equipment, inland transportation, insurance, installation, testing, and commissioning of the grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. In addition, the company will also undertake all civil and related infrastructure works required for the successful completion of the projects.
Apart from construction activities, the agreement also includes long-term support services. KPI Green Energy will provide comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for three years from the Commercial Operation Date (COD). The company will continue supporting the projects through a 10-year Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC), ensuring efficient operation and performance of the solar plants over the long term.
The company stated that the project aligns with the Government of India’s ongoing efforts to increase renewable energy capacity and strengthen sustainable infrastructure across the country. By winning this large-scale order, KPI Green Energy is expected to strengthen its presence in the domestic renewable energy sector and improve its future growth prospects.
The company also clarified that NTPC REL is a domestic entity and confirmed that the contract does not involve any related party transactions. According to the company, there is no promoter group interest in the awarded project, highlighting that the contract was secured through a transparent and competitive process.
