Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has announced the successful commissioning of an important power transmission project in Gujarat. The project, titled โTransmission Network Expansion in Gujarat to Increase Available Transfer Capability (ATC) from ISTS, Part-B,โ became operational on May 13, 2026.
POWERGRID received the official Notification for Commercial Operation (DOCO) on June 3, 2026. The announcement was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The filing was signed by Satyaprakash Dash, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of POWERGRID.
The newly commissioned project aims to strengthen the transmission network in Gujarat by increasing the Available Transfer Capability (ATC) from the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS). This enhancement will support the efficient movement of electricity across the grid and improve the reliability of power transmission in the region.
POWERGRID, a Government of India enterprise headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, plays a key role in developing and operating the countryโs power transmission infrastructure. The commissioning of this project reflects the companyโs continued efforts to expand the national grid network and support growing electricity demand across different states.
