On World Environment Day, employees of WattPower Systems, a global renewable energy company, participated in a plantation drive not as a mandate, but as a choice.
The initiative reflects the company’s “Wired for Good” philosophy: that energy is a force connecting progress, people, and the planet, and that this connection is built as much through everyday action as through infrastructure.
Mr. Divya Prakash Choraria, CEO & Co-founder, WattPower Systems, said: “Sustainability is not something you build into a product line it is something you build into your people. When our team chose to show up on World Environment Day, not because they were told to, but because they wanted to, that told us everything. At WattPower, societal impact is not a backdrop to our business. It is the reason we are in this business.”
The plantation drive is one expression of WattPower’s belief that meaningful impact goes beyond the energy solutions it delivers. For the team, it was a reminder that a greener future isn’t only built through infrastructure it’s built through intent, and through the people who show up for it.
