Iberdrola España and Vodafone España have announced a new partnership that will allow customers to save on both energy and telecommunications services. The agreement combines renewable electricity and connectivity offerings and could potentially benefit more than 16 million customers across Spain.
Under the collaboration, Vodafone España customers who sign up for an electricity contract with Iberdrola España will receive a €10 monthly discount on their fibre and mobile package for two years. In return, Iberdrola España customers who subscribe to Vodafone España’s fibre and mobile services will receive €10 per month for 24 months in their Mi Iberdrola account.
These credits can be used to reduce electricity bills or redeemed for products and services available through Iberdrola España’s loyalty programme, providing customers with greater flexibility and additional savings.According to Mario Ruiz-Tagle, CEO of Iberdrola España, the partnership is designed to deliver tangible value to customers by combining reliable telecommunications services with emission-free electricity at competitive prices.
He noted that the initiative will help households reduce their monthly expenses while continuing to benefit from high-quality energy and connectivity services.José Miguel García, CEO of Vodafone España, said the agreement reflects the company’s strategy of offering customers more than just connectivity.
He highlighted that the partnership will make it easier for millions of Spanish households to access both premium telecommunications services and competitively priced energy solutions while generating meaningful savings. He also described the agreement as the first step in what could become a broader collaboration between the two companies.As part of the commercial offer, Vodafone España has created a special package for Iberdrola España customers.
Those who sign up for Vodafone’s fibre and mobile services will have access to bundled fibre, mobile, and television packages with discounts exceeding 20%. In addition, customers will receive credits worth €240 over two years, equivalent to €10 per month, deposited into their Mi Iberdrola account.
These credits can be used either to lower electricity bills or to purchase products and services available through the Mi Iberdrola loyalty programme.At the same time, Iberdrola España has introduced an exclusive electricity tariff for Vodafone España customers. Those who switch their electricity supply to Iberdrola España will gain access to the special tariff while also receiving a €10 monthly discount on their Vodafone fibre and mobile bill for 24 months.
Existing Vodafone España customers can immediately benefit from Iberdrola España’s dedicated electricity offer. Customers who are not yet Vodafone subscribers can first choose a fibre and mobile package that suits their needs and then sign up for electricity with Iberdrola España to access both the exclusive tariff and the monthly discount.
The new offers became available on 8 June through the companies’ websites, telephone sales channels, and physical retail stores across Spain.Beyond the current programme, Iberdrola España and Vodafone España have also indicated that they will explore additional opportunities to work together through their respective sales and distribution networks, potentially expanding the range of joint services and benefits available to customers in the future.
