Mizoram Floats Tender For 1.5 MW Solar Power Plant At Zoram Medical College Hospital

The Power & Electricity Department of the Government of Mizoram has invited bids for the installation of a 1.5 MWp Grid Connected Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) Power Plant at Zoram Medical College & Hospital (ZMC) in Falkawn. The project is expected to strengthen the use of clean energy in one of the state’s major healthcare institutions and support Mizoram’s renewable energy goals.

The Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) has been issued by the Engineer-in-Chief of the department, Ngursailova Sailo, on behalf of the Governor of Mizoram. Interested and eligible firms can access the complete tender documents through the official websites of the Power & Electricity Department and the Mizoram e-tendering portal. However, all bid submissions must be made only through the online e-tendering platform.

According to the tender schedule, a pre-bid meeting will be held on July 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The meeting will provide an opportunity for prospective bidders to seek clarification regarding the project requirements and tender conditions. The last date for online submission of bids is July 23, 2026, up to 1:00 PM.

The department will open the technical bids on July 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM. During this stage, the qualifications and technical capabilities of participating firms will be evaluated before moving to the next phase of the tender process.

While the public notice provides details about the project timeline and bidding procedure, it does not mention the exact Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) and Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) requirements. Bidders will need to refer to the detailed tender documents for these financial conditions.

The notice has been circulated to several government departments and agencies to ensure wide publicity. It will also be published in leading local newspapers. The solar project highlights Mizoram’s commitment to promoting sustainable energy solutions while supporting reliable power supply for important public healthcare facilities.
