Madhya Pradesh has taken another important step toward strengthening its renewable energy sector with the inauguration of two major solar power projects. The 500 MW Neemuch Solar Park and the 450 MW Shajapur Solar Park were inaugurated in the presence of Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi. The launch of these projects marks a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to expand clean energy generation and reduce dependence on conventional power sources.

The state also witnessed the signing of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the upcoming 440 MW Morena Solar Plus Storage Project. The project is expected to combine solar power generation with energy storage, helping to improve grid reliability and ensure a stable supply of electricity even during periods when solar generation is low. The agreement reflects the growing focus on integrating energy storage with renewable power to support India’s energy transition.

In addition to the renewable energy projects, development works worth more than ₹1,553 crore were inaugurated and dedicated to the people of Madhya Pradesh. These projects are expected to strengthen infrastructure, improve public services, and contribute to the state’s overall economic development.

The newly inaugurated solar parks and the upcoming Morena Solar Plus Storage Project are expected to increase renewable energy capacity in the state while supporting India’s clean energy goals. These initiatives also demonstrate Madhya Pradesh’s continued commitment to sustainable development, energy security, and environmental protection.

The expansion of renewable energy infrastructure is expected to attract fresh investments, create employment opportunities, and support long-term economic growth. With these developments, Madhya Pradesh continues to position itself as one of the leading states in promoting clean and sustainable energy solutions in India.
