NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PTC India Limited for the sale of 1,200 MW of solar power under a bilateral arrangement.
The agreement marks a significant step in expanding clean energy procurement and reinforces collaboration between the two companies to support India’s renewable energy transition.
The PPA was formally exchanged in the presence of Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar, Managing Director and CEO of PTC India Limited, Dr. J. S. Chandok, CEO of ONGPL, along with senior officials from NGEL, NTPC REL, and PTC India.
The 1.2 GW solar power agreement is expected to facilitate the supply of renewable electricity under a bilateral framework while contributing to India’s growing clean energy capacity and decarbonization goals.
The partnership underscores the continued efforts of NTPC Green Energy and PTC India to accelerate the deployment of large-scale renewable energy projects and strengthen the country’s sustainable power ecosystem.
