Uniper and Respect Energy have signed six-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) covering electricity and Guarantees of Origin (GoO) from four new solar photovoltaic projects in Poland with a combined capacity of 219 MWp. The agreement is aimed at supporting the transformation of Poland’s energy system and Europe’s wider transition to renewable energy.
The solar projects included in the agreement are Pakość, Kłodawa, Domanowo, and Krotoszyce. These projects are part of Uniper’s broader renewable energy expansion strategy. In December 2025, the company had also approved the development of five additional solar projects in Poland and the United Kingdom, representing around 288 MWp of new capacity.
Under the PPAs, Respect Energy will purchase renewable electricity generated by the four Uniper solar assets. The deal is expected to strengthen Respect Energy’s position as a major clean electricity trader in Central and Eastern Europe while ensuring a stable supply of green power for its customers.
The agreement highlights the growing role of PPAs in the European renewable energy market. Such contracts provide long-term revenue certainty for project developers and help offtakers secure reliable renewable electricity at predictable prices, supporting further investment in clean energy infrastructure.
Iulia Tica, CEO of Uniper Renewables, said the agreement reflects the company’s transformation strategy and its commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio across Europe. She noted that the four Polish solar projects will contribute to decarbonizing the country’s power system and reinforce Uniper’s role in delivering clean and reliable electricity.
Łukasz Jankowski, Head of Origination at Respect Energy, said the partnership supports Poland’s renewable energy ambitions and strengthens the company’s green electricity supply portfolio. He added that the cooperation will help customers access competitively priced clean power while contributing to Europe’s climate and energy security goals.
