Alpex Solar Limited has submitted an application to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) seeking inclusion of its 2.2 GW TOPCon G12 solar cell manufacturing facility in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The application covers the company’s TOPCon G12 cell manufacturing unit located at Kosi Kotwan Extension-II in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. According to the filing, the MNRE has formally acknowledged receipt of the application, which is currently under evaluation in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
Inclusion in the ALMM List-II is a key regulatory milestone for domestic solar cell manufacturers, as it enables eligible manufacturers to supply solar cells for government-backed and other projects where compliance with ALMM requirements is mandatory.
Alpex Solar stated that it will continue to keep the stock exchanges and investors informed of any further material developments related to the application in line with applicable regulatory disclosure requirements.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
