As part of its continued commitment to building strategic partnerships that accelerate the transition toward a sustainable future, LONGi Solar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, foster technical education, and empower the next generation of renewable energy professionals.
The signing ceremony was held at the HTU campus in the presence of Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, Mr. Baggio, Vice President of LONGi Solar, and Eng. Omar Atiyat, General Manager of LONGi Solar – Middle East, alongside representatives from both organizations.
The partnership establishes a strategic framework for collaboration in technical education, research, innovation, and workforce development. By combining HTU’s academic excellence with LONGi’s global expertise in solar technology, the two parties aim to bridge the gap between education and industry while preparing highly skilled professionals capable of leading the clean energy transition.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding, LONGi Solar and HTU will collaborate on apprenticeship and internship programs, specialized technical training, workshops, joint research and innovation initiatives, entrepreneurship support, hackathons, knowledge-sharing events, and curriculum development aligned with evolving industry needs. These initiatives will provide students with valuable hands-on experience while enhancing their readiness for careers in the renewable energy sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Baggio, Vice President of LONGi Solar, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to investing in future talent and strengthening partnerships with leading academic institutions, emphasizing that education and innovation remain key drivers in accelerating the global energy transition.
