Oriano Clean Energy Commissions 112 MWp Solar Power Project in Maharashtra for Hexa Climate Solutions

Oriano Clean Energy has commissioned a 112 MWp (80 MW AC) ground-mounted solar power project in Wardha, Maharashtra, for Hexa Climate Solutions, marking another milestone in the company’s utility-scale renewable energy portfolio.

The project, located in the village of Jam in Wardha district, achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on June 3, 2026. Developed on approximately 300 acres, the solar plant is designed to generate around 196 million units (MUs) of clean electricity annually while offsetting an estimated 140,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year.

Executed on a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis, the project includes the complete design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, statutory approvals, and a two-year operations and maintenance (O&M) contract.

As part of the project scope, Oriano also developed the associated power evacuation infrastructure, including a 132 kV pooling substation, a 1.9 km 33 kV double-circuit transmission line, and a four-bay substation equipped with two power transformers, one bus coupler, and one line bay. The solar plant is built using fixed-tilt mounting structures integrated with 300 kW string inverters.

According to Oriano Clean Energy, the commissioning demonstrates the company’s capability to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects with integrated transmission infrastructure while supporting India’s clean energy transition.

The company said it has commissioned four utility-scale renewable energy projects over the past two months and has delivered nearly 1 GW of projects during the last year. Oriano’s overall portfolio now exceeds 4 GWp across EPC, renewable energy parks, and asset management, with more than 1.7 GWp of renewable energy capacity commissioned across 50 project sites in 15 states and union territories.
