The new organization will focus on developing, investing in, and managing power and water projects worldwide. It will use DEWA’s decades of operational expertise, advanced technologies, and strong financial position to support countries seeking reliable electricity supplies, clean water solutions, and sustainable infrastructure.

The move comes at a time when global demand for energy and water infrastructure is increasing rapidly. Investments in these sectors are expected to cross trillions of dollars over the next decade, creating opportunities for companies with proven experience in large-scale utility projects. DEWA International aims to become a major participant in this growing market by offering solutions based on Dubai’s achievements.

The company will bring expertise in several important areas, including renewable energy development, digital transformation of electricity grids, conventional power generation, water desalination, and smart utility management. One of its key examples of success is the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, recognized as the world’s largest single-site solar park. The project represents Dubai’s commitment to expanding clean energy and provides a model for large-scale renewable energy development.

DEWA International plans to work with governments, financial institutions, and private energy companies in different countries. The company has already started international discussions with major European financial and energy organizations in cities such as London and Athens to explore possible partnerships in infrastructure and clean energy projects.

The subsidiary’s expansion strategy will include developing, financing, and operating utility projects in both nearby regions and international markets. Its strong foundation is supported by DEWA’s global reputation for high operational standards, including efficient power generation, reliable electricity networks, strong distribution performance, and quality customer services.

The company will initially focus on markets where Dubai already has strong connections and strategic advantages before expanding into a wider global portfolio.

Through this initiative, DEWA International aims to support the growth of clean energy, green hydrogen, smart water systems, and digital utility technologies. The company believes that sharing Dubai’s experience can help countries improve energy security, promote sustainable economic growth, and accelerate the transition toward environmentally responsible infrastructure.

The expansion also strengthens Dubai’s position as a global center for utility innovation and sustainable development, while allowing DEWA to contribute its expertise to solving major energy and water challenges worldwide.
